The idea was to bring together first generation and second generation Filipinos and organizers expect it to become a landmark annual Filipino festival. There was also a Parade of Fil-Am beauties; modern and cultural dance showcase; a Kiddie Karnival; plus BBQ, burgers and more.
There was also a Pinoy Flea Market -- a shopping haven for the bargain hunters. It’s a “tiangge” in the traditional sense – where everyone will have the chance to negotiate for deals on used and new goods, as well as on various products and services from local and Philippine-based vendors and sponsors.
Organizers plan to make this an annual event. Click here for more info.
