Vineland Ficus Trees Recycled as Mulch

The remnants of the beautiful on the corner of Vineland Avenue and Ventura Boulevard were made into mulch and spread on the Oasis area along Ventura near Arch Drive.

Francesca Corra, of the Studio City Beautification Committee, and from Dirt Diva Designs, said, "The two massive piles of mulch at the Oasis from the were spread by Clean and Green, part of Los Angeles Conservation Corps. Three crews of teenagers—about 30 kids in all—got the job done and left it looking fabulous."

Geoffrey Yazzetta from L.A. Councilman Paul Krekorian's office contacted Clean and Green on behalf of Studio City Beautification and it was done for no charge. See the photos in the Gallery.
