Now Open for How Long?

When will at Ventura & Coldwater take down its "Now Open" sign? It's been open about one year or so, hasn't it?—Dick Carter

Dear Dick. It has been more than one year and those banners are violating the Ventura/Cahuenga Boulevard Corridor Specific Plan. I see that is has been reported to the Department of Building & Safety, so the bank will receive a citation and removal request.

Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree

This is crazy. A Christmas tree is still sitting for months now outsidet that terrible construciton going on at 11150 Aqua Vista. Whom can I call to get that dead tree picked up?—Beth Barnett

Beth - I'd call 311 and tell the operator about the Christmas tree.  It will be removed.

City Watering Restrictions Still On?

My neighbor keeps watering his lawn any dang time he wants, and I told
him there's a water ban, he said it's over. Is that true? I can't find anything on it in any of the papers.

Beth - the water conservation program is still in force.  Odd addresses may water on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Even addresses may water on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.  Watering should stop at 9 a.m. and may resume at 4 pm.

Sprinklers on the average should not exceed 8 minutes per station.
