* Can you ask Lisa - Is there a history to that sculpture near our house on Dilling and Troost? It’s the one with the dragon it looks like.

The homeowner’s child is the sculptor.  I think it scares many children on Halloween. BOOOOO!

Parades and Parties

* Why don’t we have block parties, holiday street parties and balloons on all the meters like the stores on Ventura and Woodman in Sherman Oaks?

All 17 miles of Ventura Boulevard are regulated by the Ventura/Cahuenga Boulevard Corridor Specific Plan. The Specific Plan prohibits balloons, flags and certain signage.  Sherman Oaks stakeholders apparently do not enforce the regulations of the SP.

Until two years ago, Studio City sponsored a in December.  I suggest you contact the or Studio City Chamber of Commerce for more details on the reason the parade has not continued.
