I would not be the person I am today without the influence of "The Academy". Dorothy isRead More part of classic Hollywood and it was so amazing to be in the presence of such a talent. She has devoted her life to passing on the joy of the arts to the next generations to come.

“Leave a brother alone…” I’m still laughing at that line. Something aboutRead More the sequence of the banter between these characters is so believable. Unique. It just cracks me up. Very original E.M.F. Weldon is gonna wish Pikey can "leave a brother alone"….Yesiree. BTW, I’m so glad Morty didn’t “cack”. S & M just wouldn’t be the same without him. More please...

I think, as time went on, that the diaries became "journals", and I have a stack of themRead More as well. Someday I'll organize them, and wonder why I thought everything at that time was so important...
teresa mcgrath September 19, 2012 at 02:18 pm
neat article mary...those little diaries with the mini lock and key were precious...glad you savedRead More them, and can look back and laugh and wonder at those ponderings...i keep one also, and then began using those black/white little notebooks for poems and art ideas, in addition to a diary...i know i have a couple in boxes...

Whose jacarandas bloomed in December or January? Is it possible that's a typo and you all mean sixRead More weeks? Ours in Encino usually drops its first few flowers the first or second week in may and really gets cooking right about now and lasts another two or three weeks. It will drop a flower or two as late as October! Interestingly, the jacarandas south of The Valley are two weeks or more ahead of us. We do love them event though we tented part of the driveway for the jacaranda season!

This is a very unprofessional story. The "new" format seems to be a way for AOL and PatchRead More to lower its type of "journalism" even farther the gutter level. How can you write in such a gleeful tone that the "Chamber doesn’t want Patch to publish this article." Is there any verification? Is this the way an editor writes? Moreover, what about celebrity privacy? Don't they have a right to spend their Sundays in peace? You write that "this is a case that possibly proves that Studio City has more stars than most coming in to buy stuff." Perhaps they will no longer visit due to blog posts like this. Yes....posts... we can no longer call anything on Patch an article or anything remotely connected to journalism.
