The LAPD and LAFD consume 80% of the City's Budget.....they are both cash cows..and have the highestRead More percentage of Lawsuits aginst the City of Los Angeles. I say stop the bleeding and say ""No" to their Greed~~!! Remember what Chief Charlkie Beck said publicly when he Endorsed Proposition A..?? That if it didn't pass, the Police would have to layoff 500 police personnel. Seems to be that was a Fat Lie by the Chief~~! Right Chief Beck??..and how about the LAFD paying out Millions of Dollars to their employees for Eatingh Dog Food on a Prank~~~!! Chief Back and Chief Cummings...you are both ""Bums""~~!!Q
"Forearmless Jake" by artist, Dylan Bocanegra

Here's hoping that Morty's revenge will be swift and sweet. Also, what did happen to Sam the Can?Read More Did I miss this or will it be revealed later? I enjoyed Dylan's sketch of Forearmless Jake, even though in my mind he had hands attached where his elbows used to be. That could be a cool mission: get Forearmless Jake a new set of hands. Obviously you could not get him new forearms or he would have to change his name, which we all know is a hassle. Darren

Dear Den Mom, Thanks for this breaking news. I have enough aches and pains that it should help.Read More I'll get some right away. The only disappointment that I might have is that it probably won't get rid of the other kinds of pains that I get from our govenments(federal, state and local) and they are not always in my neck.

@G.Cruz In my youth I was an equestrian at Split Rock Riding Academy in Pelham, New York. We rodeRead More the inside ring more frequently than the outside trail. As you can imagine the only way to control the horse is by squeezing your knees on the saddle (aside from the kick or crop) and the reins. After the rugged routines are over your knees are sore. The only thing I ever used was Absorbine Junior. Bigeloil smells like that. It's not intolerable but fairly potent. I hope your sense of smell is as retro as mine. I urge you to rub it on before bedtime. Thanks for following my posts -- I appreciate your comments.

When it says the Los Angeles Times 'endorses' someone or something does that mean they took a voteRead More of all employees working at the Times or is it just a meaningless blurb by a small coven of inflated corporate propagandists kissing A with the Federal government or some other powerful special interest influence?
HPLA May 21, 2013 at 10:00 am
You should have listed ALL of the candidates and put the endorsement, if any, in parenthetical nextRead More to the names. The headline leads one to believe this would be a straight factual article. But leaving out names is just bad reporting, sorry.
