Supported by a coalition of 10 congregations in the East San Fernando Valley, this is one of 12 pantries under theMore aegis of Valley Interfaith Council. The pantry serves everyone regardless of religion, race, creed.</p> <p>Food is collected by congregations, individuals, and community groups and donated or sold by The Los Angeles Regional Foodbank. It is distributed by volunteers to around 500 families per week. Donated nonperishables and personal-care items are always welcome at Temple Beth Hillel, 12326 Riverside Dr., North Hollywood.  Volunteers can help with packing, shelving, and distributing food.  </p> <p>To assist in shelving or distribution of food call Susan Sanders at (818) 385-0574.</p> <p>To volunteer on our packing teams call Leslye Adelman at (818) 929-2606.</p> <p>To be part of our transportation teams call Chris Wilkinson at (818) 515-5753.</p> <p> </p>

First Christian Church of North Hollywood

This church was founded in 1924 after the Christian Church in Los Angeles sponsored an evangelical tent meeting in theMore farming community of Lankershim. In 1949 the congregation moved into its current sanctuary, which has become a landmark. Social and community outreach programs include The Advent Theatre, The Christmas Tree Lot in support of children's charities and Musical Sunday Afternoons. The church was one of the five founders of the North Hollywood Interfaith Food Pantry and is the pantry distribution center. Robert M. Bock is the Senior Pastor.
First United Methodist Church

Originally founded in 1892, the First United Methodist Church of North Hollywood offers a religious community basedMore on scripture, tradition, reason and experience. As an establishment, it continues to support charitable causes in the local community and around the world today. It is a partner in the Interfaith Food Pantry and serves at the San Fernando Valley Rescue Mission.  It supports missionaries in the US and in Thailand.  The church's historic building, built in 1949, is available for movie shoots and has been filmed already for a variety of scenes.</p> <p>Sunday mornings worship services are at 8:15 in the Boyer Chapel and at 10:30 in the Sanctuary. Pastor Dr. Joey McDonald presides.</p>
