As a kid I loved to draw. Later in my life I moved on to being an associate creative director at one of the largest advertising agencies in the country. But I never let go of my first love of drawing.  When I had a little time late at night to work on my illustrations, I felt like a kid again. So, I kept at it designing and writing for major greeting card companies as well as doing pro-bono and award winning work for many charities including “Tomorrow’s Child/SIDS”, The Michigan Humane Society, Aids Interfaith Network, and the National Statue of Liberty Ellis Island foundation.
Now I am lucky enough to spend my days freelancing and drawing in my cozy home studio in Troy with my two Scottish Terriers Angus and Piper at my heels for support. One thing close to my heart is “Just Bea” - a cartoon in hopes of capturing the imagination of a new audience concerned with nurturing and protecting what’s most important to us. This strip brings awareness to how we handle what life hands us in a fun way as Bea and those around her try to make a difference.
