Henry's Tacos Re-Opens! What Do You Think? [Photos & Video]

Half a block away, the new and improved Henry's opens.

The new Henry's Tacos opened up for lunch today in its new location.

The prices are the same, in fact, the menu list is the same one that hung at the former site half a block away at Moorpark and Tujunga.

It's $2.75 for the classic gringo taco. The owners wanted to do a "soft, quiet opening," but word got out quickly when the hand-written sign that said "Opening Soon" because a "We're Opened!"

There's a large seating area behind the front counter, and chairs along the front.

Omar Vega did some renovation to the Studio Sub shop and opened a few weeks later than he had hoped.

Big fan of Henry's, Josh Mills writes: "I was there...GREAT JOB OMAR. This is going to be a great success. Same great food. Same great hot sauce. Same great, iconic logo, font and menu board too. You must be so proud to be opening your own business with your family and have so many loyal customers who are so pleased Henry's is back. Here's to another 50 years!"

The Cactus Tacos in the previous location will open some time next month.

"All is right in the world," summed up Gary Mikialian after his first meal at the new place.

Marcia Orland said she plans to take at least one of her daughters after school.

Previous owner Janis Hood, whose family started Henry's, was nostalgic and just said, "It's Henry's 2.0."
