Studio City Neighborhood Council Board Meeting

Dear Friends, Neighbors and Fellow Stakeholders:

We would like to remind you all of our annual Board meeting coming up this next Wednesday, September 18th on the CBS Studio Center Lot.  We offer a light buffet and cold drinks before our meeting at 6:30pm.  It's a great time to meet others in the community and your Board on a more personal basis.

This month, I am very happy to announce that our Special Guest will be the newly elected President of the Board of Public Works, Kevin James. This department is the City's 3rd largest and is responsible for the construction, renovation, and operation of City facilities and infrastructure.  They build the City's streets, install its sewers, and construct storm drains as well as public buildings, right-of-way, and service all facilities.

This is a wonderful opportunity for you to share your concerns and particular issues regarding your neighborhoods.  Mr. James will talk about the City and be specific about the Valley and what is on the horizon for us.  There will be a Q&A after he speaks.

We will also be honoring two special residents of Studio City:  Mike Szymanski, the current editor of the Studio City Patch, and Board member John Lawler, who for personal reasons will be leaving our Board.

From now until the end of the year, we are looking to have our own City Councilman, Paul Krekorian, the new City Attorney, Mike Feuer and our State Assemblymember, Adrin Nazarrian as our guests.  These are our representatives and this is your opportunity to meet them face to face and let them know your thoughts and offer input on the issues that effect us daily.

Thank you for your continued support.

Respectfully,

John Walker
President, SCNC
