Young Man Killed After Fall From Party Bus on the 101

The 24-year-old is struck by passing vehicles near Universal City.

A 24-year-old man exited a party bus in the middle of the Hollywood (101) Freeway near Universal City today and was killed, a California Highway Patrol officer said.

The body was reported in the southbound lanes, south of Lankershim Boulevard, at 12:23 a.m. Sunday, according to CHP Officer Monica Posada.
“A party bus [a 2001 Ford F55] was southbound on the 101 near Barham [Boulevard] when, for an unknown reason, an individual exited the bus and was subsequently struck by an unknown number of vehicles,'' Posada said.

The CHP report did not disclose if the freeway traffic was moving.

Paramedics arriving at the scene pronounced the man dead at 12:25 a.m., according to a department statement.
